She has less then 300 hours on her twin 160hp MR-1 engines. The engine compartment is insulated with insulation foam from West Marine. You can barley hear the motors running at idle. I had the cockpit speakers upgraded to Polk MM651UM with a Polk 5 channel amp with a 10 " Polk sub in a ported box. There is a third pair of the Polk MM651UM on the swimdeck with a 2 channel Kenwood amp driving those. Dual batteries with selector switch. The swimdeck is covered in new Seadek for comfort and traction when wet. I replaced the factory plastic scupper at the rear of the boat with a stainless unit for piece of mind. The trailer has brand new Maxxis radials as well as new bunk boards covered in marine carpet. The trailer also has LED taillights. I had had a custom spare tire cage made and installed by a professional metal fabricator. The bow stop is through bolted twice with grade 8 stainless bolts to prevent movement of the boat on the trailer. I installed Boat Buckle brand ratchet straps on the transom that are stainless as well. It has been a pure joy to own and love this boat since new, but our boating style is changing. We're in the hunt for an aft cabin cruiser and the Yamaha has to go. There are several forum members who can vouch for the the condition and the way I maintained it. @txav8r @maboat @jawsf16 @farrelltravis just to name a few. I challenge anyone to find a better maintained 2006 SX230 High Output.

Pearce is the only Yamaha owner I know who religiously wipes down the entire boat in hot sauce the minute he is off the ramp, no matter the temperature. Then he takes it home and washes her! The boat looks brand new inside and out. Do not hesitate for one second on this purchase if you are in the market!

I agree with all the comments. I have personally seen this boat many times on and off the water. This has got to be the best maintained boat I have ever seen. Always looks brand new. Anybody who grabs this is going to be very lucky.

We all know NADA is not the ultimate arbiter of
price, but I doubt an educated buyer is going to pay 25K for a ten year old boat in pristine condition, as this one clearly is . Despite the nice extras. I appreciate a great looking well cared for boat, but your price at 25K is not realistic.

My 08 SX230 is similarly babied, but with less than 100 hours. If someone wanted to give me 23K for it I'd take it and run to the bank, and look for a new boat.

I hope you can snare a buyer on Boat Trader, but I have been watching this one and have suggested it to 2 guys, who both thought the asking price was way too high.

I appreciate your input @OCMD . I realize now that I was dreaming at 30k. Knocked 5k off it last week and I'll see what happens. I'm waiting for someone to show an interest and I'll negotiate a little on the price. A few people close to me have showed some interest, even at 30k, but they haven't stepped forward with an offer yet. I wish I could just keep it and save this hassle of selling it, but I know it would just sit because our boating lifestyle has changed to the cruiser life. I would love to see someone enjoy it and love it as much as we have the last ten years.
