New Project - '72 Chevy C10

After 13 years of begging my mom and fighting over it with my 3 brothers, I won! Today I was given my grandfather's truck. He passed away 14 years ago and my brothers and I have been fighting over it ever since.

My grandfather custom ordered and purchased it new in 1972 in Iuka, MS. It hasn't been driven since 2003. It's probably going to take a while, but I'm going to get it on the road again. I'll try to remember to take pics and post progress along the way. This will be my first total restoration so wish me luck.

No hard feelings, we're all good. None of my brothers are in a place in life to take on a project right now.

Nice! My favorite models of any vehicles ever made ‘69-‘72 Chevy trucks. ‘67-‘68’s are right there with them but I prefer the hood and front ends of the later ones.

my Dad had a ‘72 long bed that he custom ordered as well, it was a Cheyenne Super, that’s what I grew up with. My first truck was a ‘69 short bed I got in 1992 I think it was, I still have it? My brother also has a ‘69 short bed Chevy.

I even took my senior pics with my truck, the other pic is from a couple months ago.

I'm going to make sure it looks as stock a possible, but I'm planning doing an LS swap and upgrading the suspension and brakes.
