New Steering Cable

Has anyone replaced their cable or have a recommendation?
I took the boat out for a ride and when I hit WOT after I got up to about 25mph the boat turned hard left but the wheel remained stationary.
I took it slow the rest of the day and had no problem with steering.
Do you think it's the cable or steering box? Any way to make sure without another high speed run?
