Last year I got rid of my 2008 Corvette Z06, worst decision I have made as I loved that car. I got the Corvette Bug again really bad a couple weeks ago and finally pulled the trigger on a new one.

2016 Z06, A8, Z07, 3LZ, Fully Loaded, was able to get a year end deal of 20% Off MSRP. Currently on a road trip this weekend and this car is incredible!

WOW.....Awesome car. I have a 2003 AE.....but I do LOVE the C7s......if it just didnt take money to buy them. Even at 20% off, I would still be 60% short :)
Congrats, though, Dan....do you ever do the Corvette Caravan every 5 years to Bowling Green?

Have fun.....just dont wrap it around a tree somewhere :)

Thanks! This is definitely my dream car, had an MSRP of 109k, got it around 85k, definitely a big purchase, but you only live once. I have never done the caravan, probably would be cool to do in the future. Not too worried about wrapping it around a tree Lol, been driving and racing fast cars most of my adult life.

Well JK about the tree....I figure you could handle it. Caravan is every 5 years for the Museum Anniversary. We went to the 15th and the 20th.....25th is 2019, and we WILL be going. Nothing like caravaning with a group of over 200 Corvettes, with police escort...hauling ass done the freeway at 95MPH enroute to do laps at Taladega! Then to finally arrive at Bowling Green and see 10,000 Corvettes is pretty unreal. Go to the NCM web page and look under events for the 2019 Caravan!!!! I will race ya :)

BTW....that seems like a hell of a deal!!!

Congrats on handling the Vette bug. I love the '03 I got almost 2 years ago, the c7s have all the bells and whistles if I could get a car pool sticker for it I could justify trading in the vette and smart car for a c7 convertible.

What does z07 reflect?

That sounds like an awesome trip, have add that to my bucket list.

The C7s are nicely done, the C5's on up are great body styles.

The Z07Performance package adds carbon-ceramic brakes, Michelin Pilot Sport Cups, and adjustable aero bits. Basically it's a track ready car.

Very nice car!
I went the German route and here are two of mine. (3rd is a Cayenne Turbo S)

2012 997 Turbo S (Tuned to 620HP)
2016 981 Boxster Spyder

Nice rides you have!!!

Nice ride!

Reminds me of this video where some guys in a Lamborghini try to pass a Z06 in Dubai. Action really starts around 30 seconds in. (For some reason the forum won't let me share the video starting at 30 seconds.)

Cool, especially since the vette beat the lambo, twice.

Here is me racing a Lamborghini Aventador last year in the 1/2 miles races with my previous Z06, still not sure if he was really in it to win it or if I beat him, either way it was fun.

Very Nice. I love the new Zo6 but went with the HellCat.2106Hellcat.jpeg
The other is a 68 Chevelle L79 sleeper. 327/350hp 4 speed.

Seeing all these nice fast cars makes me miss my 03 Z06, pro-charged with a little 200 shot. Great memories making those gum-ball runs....

Plan is to get a C7 in the future.

Nice C5Z, I bet that hauled ass with the procharger and a 200 shot!!! I remember racing C5Z's with my past 2003 Ford Lightning's, with my low 12 second truck I could beat them through 1/2 or better of the 1/4 mile, then always got reeled in at the big end. Later I built up this high ten second 2003 Lightning, she was a lot of fun, look at them slicks all wrinkled up during the launch.

Nice truck! Yeah did my fair share of dig runs, after breaking two axles, at the track decided to stick to the street scene and do more grudge runs and gum-ball runs. Best ET on the c5 was 10.84 with a 1.20 60 foot, on 200 shot with c-16 fun times...

Always wanted a Yellow vette, I told my self never to get another black car to hard to keep clean.

Thanks! These days I do 1/2 mile roll racing events, the local 1/4 mile track down in Phoenix is hard to get some decent runs as there are so many cars there, a lot of kids in their ricers Lol. Running 10's or better is fun, I have not taken the Z06 to the track, just ran the 1/2 mile back in December, did 153 Mph, here is one of the videos:
