Been a Yamaha guy forever, but new to the boat ownership. Between this site and the yamaha boat owners facebook site I have already found very good info. It's been a while since I've been on a speed boat so the SX 195 feels like a rocket. I really cant imagine what that 1.8 SVHO feels like in the Waverunner. Those must be a blast to ride.

Next item on my list is to possibly dress up the trailer with aluminum wheels / tires. Anyone have a good lead for around $125 per wheel?

Congrats on the new boat. Your combo looks awesome. Tires and rims are next on my list. Just my opinion but go with radials. I'm not a fan of the bias ply tire the trailer came with.

Looks awesome don't forget to get an orange Stoltz bow roller as the yellow roller on the trailer will scratch your paint/gel coat.

IMG_0842.JPG Went to 15s and switched to radials...

If that is your tow vehicle good choice on going with 195 just for the trailer brakes alone (the 190's come with out trailer brakes). I towed our old SX190 with a RAV4 and the braking left a lot to be desired. Sharp looking boat!

Yes the Escape is the tow vehicle as of now, and the surge brakes work really well, but somehow the breakaway cable was "cut" during shipping or at the dealer before I purchased it. So I gotta get that replaced.

Got the new wheels and tires and the Stoltz roller installed. Great site for all the advise! Now I've got one of my "old" (aprox 300 miles) wheels for sale. Would make a great spare unit. PM if interesed.

What motor is in your Escape? My wife has an Edge with a v-6 but I have never towed the boat with it and curious how it tows?

That's odd my sx190 has trailer brakes?

What mounting bracket did you go with for your spare?
