The stock tires on my 1012 Shorelandr Trailer are the Carlisle Sport Trail, size ST215/75D14. It is a "C" load rating and more than enough at 1870 pounds per tire, that is over 7400 pounds. My tires have less than 3000 miles on them, are garage kept trailer and boat only has 17.9 hours, now 4 years old. They show a minor amount of scolloping for their age and miles. They are the 4 ply bias tires. Our upcoming trip is 2000 miles round trip, and given our issues last year with the coach attempting the same trip, I am being proactive and I have replaced them with the Carlisle Radial Trail HD, size ST215/75R14. I saved all of the old tires, and I am mounting one of them on a new rim, to use as a second spare, that I don't expect to ever use. I am willing to sell the tires only, no wheel, or the second spare with wheel. The tire costs about $80 new. I can sell all or one for $50 OBO each local pickup only. Anyone without a spare, or anyone that wants a second spare, these would make a perfect addition. The tread wear at less than 3000 miles is minimal. This post is about replacing my tires and pic and description of what I used. But as I started to type, I thought I would mention that I have the old tires too.

IMO... No offense. Carlisle's are garbage. I have a lot of failures with them on our work trailers.

If anyone is looking for a spare, those would still be great.

But lets not forget, the life of a TRAILER tire is limited by time not mileage. It is suggested that trailer tires be replaced after three to four years of service regardless of tread depth or tire appearance (tire has a DOT time stamp that provides the tire's date of manufacture).

Mel,

I'm sorry I gave my opinion on a brand name based on my experience with their product. Apparently I ruffled someones feathers and was told it was inappropriate to share my opinion on your post. Good luck with your sale.

I have found Craigslist is a great place to sell used tires locally.

The facts are, that our trailers are delivered with Carlisles. I was going to put on Maxxis, but I know 4 people with blowouts on maxxis radials. I have had two sets of the Carlisle bias ply without issue. Discount tire says the Carlisles are as good as any "trailer" tire, and the radials are better, according to them. Honestly, they are trailer tires. They have 3000 miles on them, garage kept, and haven't spent 50 days in the sunshine total. After the Powell trip, I am probably selling the boat. So not only could someone get a few good tires for a spare, but someone will get a very low time, well maintained, meticulously kept, boat.
