I am new to the forum and jetboats. I just recently purchased a 2017 sx210, and was wondering what the new TR1 engines are rated at in hp? I have seen alot of conflicting numbers in the forum and online. They feel very responsive and have plenty of torque, compared to my old 19ft baja islander. Anything to know about these boats will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome and congrats on the new purchase!

Welcome aboard @Jetti and congrats on the new boat. I don't have any info on the newer engines so I'll leave that to the other guys.

Thanks for the info. I can tell you that 230hp coming out of a couple of jets is alot more powerful than coming out of a prop.

Welcome Aboard!

Welcome to the party. Have you already been out with the boat?

Just for the test drive in a small pond. I was unsure about the new 3 cylinder engine, but they feel like they have enough power for what I need. Quite quiet compared to my friends older version.

Please review that boat and engines for us when you have a few hours on it. I don't recall anyone giving us an honest appraisal on the TR-1 motors.

Will do, the only thing I know to compare it to is a Baja 192 islander. I'm wondering if the ribbon restrictor delete on the TR1 is the same as old engines?
