Hi everyone.

I've been lurking on the forum for a few weeks now. Gathering information.

My family needed a bigger boat than the 20' inboard I've owned for 18 years. Something that would handle choppy water better. Hopefully with better range. Something that still performed well for watersports. And of course safety is a big factor.

My quest lead me to consider a jet boat, and that lead me to this forum. There definitely is a wealth of information here.

So last week I put that acquired knowledge to use. We bought a 2012 AR240, and after a lot of cleaning, hauled it down to its new summer home: Lake Cumberland, KY.

Last weekend we put some hours on her. Cruising, tubing, wakeboarding, and of course, rafting-up and chilling.

The verdict? The family loves the new boat!

We are looking forward to customizing, and making her ours!

Congratulations, and welcome to the club!

Congrats, great choice. You’ll love every minute of it.

Congratulations! Here's to the next 18 years of jet boating!

Welcome BDOne and congrats on your new purchase. I too am an AR240 owner that resides on Lake Cumberland (State Dock / Jamestown). Hope to see you out on the water soon ??

Congratulations and Welcome! Post up some pics of your new toy!

@biglar155 I didn't get any great picks of the boat last weekend.
Here she is in the driveway after washing. (You may notice that she won't fit in the "boat garage".)

Results after waxing the next day...

And the obligatory "sunset over the wake" shot...

I'll get better shots next time!

I checked my Google Maps Timeline, and apparently we put over 80 miles on her between Friday and Sunday.
