Hi All -
My name is Aaron, and I currently live in Acworth, GA. We're about 45 minutes northwest of Atlanta, and the nearest body of water is Lake Allatoona. I've long been interested in boats and boating, but haven't gotten around to pulling the trigger on a purchase yet. My next door neighbor works for Yamaha (corporate) North America, and that is where I first became aware of jet boats. I'm hoping to learn a lot here about the ins and outs of jet boat ownership, what to look for when shopping, and hopefully - in the next year or so - "take the plunge," so to speak, on a boat for myself and my family! Happy to be here, and looking forward to contributing once I have some knowledge under my belt.

Welcome! I grew up boating on Allatoona. Used to live in Acworth, but recently moved to Marietta. I had a 2015 242 Limited S for three seasons and sold it last year. You will find lots of information on here.

Hi Matt! Thanks for the reply... When I learn a bit more after I've done some research, I'd love to pick your brain a little sometime about the particulars of ownership in this geographical area (service, ease of trailering to other GA lakes, etc). I'm sure there's more to learn than I can possibly imagine.

No problem. Reach out to me anytime. I learned a lot while I had my boat, and can try to answer any questions you have. I also Plan on purchasing another before next season, just not sure what type yet.

I live in Marietta as well. I currently own a 79 Searay and boat on Allatonna pretty much exclusively during the summer. I joined this group for the same reasons as you, with the hope of having a jet boat of my own! I'd be happy to help you out with any questions you have as well, thought I know more about my Mercruiser engine now than jet engines....

Good luck with your future purchase!

Hey! I'm on Lake Lanier. Don't tow but will keep an eye out for any questions I can answer

Welcome! Many on this forum in your area, should get lots of response on this forum as well. Pretty active group.

Thanks for the warm welcome, all!
