Hey everybody, I put a deposit down on a new AR240 at the boat show last weekend. I am scheduled to pick it up next Friday. My wife and I are very excited for the new adventure ahead. We both have some experience with boating but none with a jet boat. I am looking forward to learning from all the experienced members here.

Congrats !! Wise choice. Hopefully you and the family will enjoy many hours of fun and relaxation in the days to come. Are you going to tow it back and forth or looking at keeping it closer to / on the water ?

Welcome. Looks like you may have some nice weather to launch your maiden voyage. Send some pictures.

Congrats. Youll love that AR. Just be ready to upgrade the stero. If you can do it go ahead and put the JL Slam pack in it. The stock stero in the AR and SX like mine do not hold up to the quality of the rest of the boat. Once you get it you have to post up some pictures. Are you planning on the Bimini run this year?

Congrats Enjoy it. I was there looking at them too. Very nice boats

I will be trailering the boat to and from the lake. There are multiple lakes within a 30 minute drive for us, getting a slip might be a couple years down the road. :)

Lol actually the boat is already at the audio shop getting upgraded speakers, tower speakers and a sub installed. Unfortunately 2017's summer is pretty booked up already so we wont make it to Bimini this year. Hopefully we can work it out for 2018 though.

Welcome to the forum! Congrats on the new boat too! What lake do you plan use most often? We are at Texoma most weekends likely starting next month. Our home port is Highport Marina. We should have a few gatherings in July and August and many informal gatherings all summer. Post up when your headed out and we'll look for you.

Congrats on the new boat...and from one new member to another, welcome!

We will probably be at Lewisville Lake the majority of the time, but we are going to try our best to make it up to Texoma for one of the gatherings. I look forward to meeting and making some new friends.

Dude, I got just the setup for you. A 30' slip with the front 6' decked for some chairs and a table and a 6,000 lb lift already installed. I'll sell you the lift for $3,500. The slip fee is $275/month. Electric and water is provided at the slip. You'll never need to have a boat ramp argument with your wife ever!!!!

Sounds nice but unfortunately a slip isnt in my budget for a couple of years. I gotta wait until my wife finishes grad school and we finish paying off her student loans. But thank you for the offer. Just out of pure curiosity what marina is that in?

Is she going to be a PT?

its tough not to buy at those shows...I'm contemplating a Yamaha 242, same dealer, same show....lol

@T. Turner Congrats! If you ever make it south to the Belton/Temple area let me know. We boat almost every weekend when the water is nice.

So @T. Turner it is Friday. Did you get your boat? We need pictures to prove you are not just leading us along.

We brough the boat home today. I am extremely pleased in how it looks and sounds. I do think I am going to need some more practice retrieving the boat though. It took me several times to line it up correctly. The wind was whipping out there today.
