I have same one. Works great. Actually, had one on my last boat and this one.

I just installed the same one s few months ago. It's a great charger.

I have the same charger and have been considering the through hull plug. If I did do the through-hull, I would mount on the port side exterior near the gas filler so I could plug and unplug without getting in the boat. Did you consider an external mount location at all? And if so any reason why you didn’t do it?

Question for those who already have one. When I initially plugged it in, I got 2 solid red lights, which the book said means charging. After about 3 hours, one of the lights was green, but it was flashing slowly. Could not find and explanation. Is this normal? I thought they were supposed to be solid green when charged?

I didnt want the plug to be accessible from outside the boat because I keep a dehumidifier plugged in inside the boat when covered. I just got a y cord for this. Helps tremendously to keep the mildew down in the humid Texas weather!

Did some research online.....says when the green light is pulsing, not flashing, it is in the maintenance mode, whatever that is!

So, that sounds like a good thing, then??

Pulsing means your batteries are charged and it's keeping them that way.

Actually maintenance is keeping them charged, which is usually a steady green. Pulsing charge current usually means anti-sulfation to recover the battery from very low discharge. But it sounds like it charged and then went to maintenance, which sounds normal.

Check the manual for the light sequence and it'll tell you what's going on.

All it says is that if the green light is pulsing, it indicates it is in the maintenance charge mode. No mention of it being a malfunction or error. I will call NOCO tomorrow and ask.

Maintenance mode is normal... it's a multi stage charger and battery maintainer. Every 24 hrs it will provide a small top off charge.

It's the perfect place to put it. Especially if you have access with a tow cover on. That's when you will appreciate it the most. As i'ts always after you put the cover on that you realize you probably should have plugged in the charger.
