Ok here it is. How do I get access to the compartment where the steering wheel and gauges are. Obviously there is no door. I know it has to do something with the cushion that lies in front, But I cannot figure out how to remove this. Take it easy on me here and remember I haven't used the boat yet lol

Remove the bow cushion in front of the helm. Then get your hands up there and feel around and you'll discover 2 wing nuts - remove the wing nuts and washers - TaDa!

lol I figured Yamaha would have an easier way considering it is to a main compartment. Like a snap=on or something similar

There's a lot of wires and steering cables back there. Other than a convenient place to mount the amps, I don't need access to that area too often - I wouldn't store anything in there , like to keep everything clear of the amps . I remember JetBoatPilot was working on a magnetic latching system for those cushions if I remember correctly.

That's why I was asking bc I want to put my amp in there. I am sure a magnet with an adhesive on the rear may work well. Probably could get the magnets from the local hardware//home depot.

That is where I put all my amps. Good little storage spot out of the way.

The newer 240s still have a door. The 210s never have.

So you reach under the back cushion and unscrew? I guess having a door would be too easy

Yes - poke around and you'll find the wing nuts. If I remember correctly, the wing nuts are at the bottom of the cushion while the top is sitting on/in these brackets. So u have to pull out the bottom and then lift up. You'll see once you undo the nuts.

You know it would be nice to have our boat models under our names..I almost told geiger41 to " just open the door dude". Lol
