I was changing the oil filter on my 2013 SX192. I found the Amsoil EaOM103 was too small. Does anybody have any cross references to other filters or should I just use the OEM one?

Thanks

Bump...I haven't changed the oil yet, but I have had a hard time finding what oil filter I should use.

Thanks,

That info should be in your owners manual, which is also available on Yamaha's website if you register with them. PLEASE do @mattmila (use the @ function) hit me up if you get the data so I can add it to the FAQ!!!

Does anybody have a service manual for 2013 SX192 I can download?
My owner's manual refers me to the service manual for the oil filter number?

Thanks

Julian,

The Yamaha oil filter for the 2013 SX192 is made by Denso. Its part number is 69J-13440-0300 (00). It costs around $21-$25. I have contacted several auto stores and they do not have other filters to match it. Maybe somebody will have better luck. I will keep on trying.

Ma

@mattmila what engine do you have, a 1.8l

In 2012 there was a cross-reference for the 1.8L oil filter to WIX which Amsoil matched to EA15K51-ea. I used the filter then, but I haven't been able to find the cross-reference since, and I'm back to using the Yamaha filter.

My engine is 1.8L. I don't think the SX192 was made yet in 2012. I maybe wrong.

fram PH3614. I use the TG3614 on my VXR.(same engine)

Is the VXR the same as the supercharged 1.8L engine?

The supercharge 1.8L and the NA 1.8L use the same oil filter.

For more information go to google search and type in...YJB forum oil filter cross over reference.

On the 1800 engines I use Motorcraft F L 910 s always have but remember on any oil filter the crimp line is prone to rust and leak some put grease on it but I use aluminum tape to protect the entire case from rust . I started doing this years ago when I saw one in a ski rupture from rust along the crimp .

I was researching the correct Amsoil filter for the 1.8L this morning and talked with amsoil, that Amsoil part number listed above is the correct filter and I cross referenced it with Amsoil on two others with amsoil, the Motorcraft, Fram and that WIX number all cross reference, BUT the Yamaha part number cross to the WIX is different as that particular WIX has an anti corrosion coating for marine use. I’m sorry I do not have that number that the Amsoil tech gave me. I’m not trying to find the thread with tdonoughe‘s post to post there as well.

My 2013 Yamaha 1.8 came from the dealer I purchased from with Mobil 1 M1-102A filters.

Checked the Mobil 1 site for the extended oil filters and there is no particulate size or efficiency data on their website that I could find, there is also no ISO standard test reference but there are some other references that mean nothing to me.

Finally heard back from Mobil 1… that M1-102A is 99% efficient at 25 microns.
