Ok- no wise cracks - why are there not more Louisiana Jetboaters Forum Members???

@Jackew .............
My most FAV state ever !
But I had to laugh as I feel your question answers itself ......... LOL !
Maybe it's a "French thing." I dunno. LOL !
"Peace Be With You" or sumptin' like that.... LOL ! My Best, Mikey

I wish I was more creative with wise cracks, because a thread with the disclaimer of "no wise cracks" deserves a ton of them!

To do my best to answer your topic question I would say that the majority of boat owners down there run a totally different kind of boat. Most of the boats I saw when I was down there for over a month back in 2005, were fishing (CC) boats, or flat bottom swamp boats. Most of the waters I saw were waters I would stay away from with one of these boats. (I spent most of my time in or around the very swampy areas, which seem to make up a very large area.) I am sure there are some good bodies of water for recreational boating, but I imagine a lot of people spend their time in the swamps and need a boat that is better suited for that environment.

image.jpg image.jpg @PolarXJ thanks for posting. I changed my forum title up slightly. As I really was trying to seek out forum members in Louisiana - not addressing the use or lack there of - Jet boats in Louisiana.

BTW - there are many Jetboats in Louisiana and there is more than just swamps to take a boat out into.

I just hate being the only anchor in almost all of Louisiana - so this is a call out to anyone visiting the site - sign up and represent - if you a member but have not added your location - add it especially if you in Louisiana

This is Truly a great forum that will make my boating experience much safer and rewarding! Thanks to everyone that has helped me to date and I want to hopeful - Return some favors

My guess is they are all too busy boating! Between crawfish and gators, I bet things can get crazy fast down there, especially what with James Bond racing through the place!! :eek:

Live and Let Die...one of my favorites! :cool:

@Jackew
When I was a kid I lived in Baton Rouge for a couple of years. We used to ski and tube on False River, a very beautiful area.

I'm right next door in Mississippi! :)

I'm between Flase River or on the lake in Lake Charles hopping Casinos beaches ;) for my weekend boating adventure. @Westbeach Bum I sold my 2013 AR 240 to a family that has a camp on False River! It us a wonderful boat location.

Shows what I know! lol. I am never posting here again! Ok, maybe I will stick around. Those pictures look like some fun spots.

I'm in the other next door, near Houston.

Apparently, we have you surrounded. That must be why none of your compatriots will register.

Anyway, if you get lonely, come on over...

Have you been to the Prop Stop on Tickfaw River. I've always wanted to go, now that I have a boat I may make the trip one day.

@colt45, Where are you?

@Jackew, is feeling lonely.

Which one of you guys can get Shelby Stanga to sign up?

@Jackew that is pretty strange how few are from your state! @Bruce perhaps you need to send him some business cards so he can drum up some business there?

@Westbeach Bum - No but it's on my list for this summer! The one pic i posted is Tickfaw 200 - it was last weekend and fell on the crawfish festival weekend and couldn't make it because I host an annual Crawfish Boil. Kind of makes @Glassman point in an earlier post. Lol image.jpgimage.jpg

Is that you in the red shirt in the above photo? (refraining from commenting further...other than I can see two reasons why you are smiling)

@Julian i am guessing one of the two reasons is not the 12 oz margitia ... No not me in red, I'm the boil Chef . I don't get to have as much fun as all the others lol ;)

I see more than two reasons, depending on what exactly were counting :watching::eggonface:
