I just purchased a Polaris LE 2100 with an Optimax 250 engine. The engine ran fine when it was in the water, but when flushing it it overheated within a few minutes. I don't know that this is cause for concern, as I've seen some people say you don't need to run the engine (and even the manual says that the engine might overheat on just a hose), but I wanted to get everything working as perfectly as it can. I had read that there is a telltale or pee hole on the engine, but I have no idea where that would be. Any help would be appreciated, as I'm not finding anything definitive in the resources I've found. Thanks!

Edit: it appears that the hose was simply too small to output enough water. With a different hose it ran without issue
