Ordered a 2021 AR190

First off - thanks for all the great info in these forums. I pulled the trigger on a new 2021 AR190, per the dealer they are supposed to start shipping tomorrow and I've been allocated a grey one. Needless to say, I'm super stoked! That said, I have a couple of the questions.....

1. Where is the best place to mount the Fire Extinguisher?
2. What cover do you recommend? I'm thinking the towing/Mooring cover.
3. Any advice to a new Jet boat owner that isn't in the manual?

I just ordered one too. The grey hull version. I am super excited too.

I was thinking of mods to the dashboard. I'm an electronics geek, so I like touch screens galore. Not sure if the Connext system is even upgradable. But....just excited to be getting a boat.

Any recommendations on a good brand of cover? What do you use, and do you like it?

I use the Yamaha Mooring Cover. It fits perfect, is very light weight and well built. See if your dealer will kick you a discount on one. I paid around $800. Although my cover is a couple feet longer that yours because of the boat. Initially yours should come with the factory shipping cover which is decent, but cumbersome.

thanks @HangOutdoors. I was thinking that was the right answer. I was planning to see if he'd help me out a little if i buy it upfront with the boat. Hard to negotiate for anything right now with the way these things are selling.

Yes. Usually though any dealer would probably give you a percentage off accessories for 12 months or less. It may not be a lot but every little bit helps. The mooring cover is the one of the best things I have purchased. And if I were ever to get a new boat it would be the first thing I purchase or order before I even close on the boat.

Well that and Cobra Jet Steering.

I'm in the Midwest, so realistically I have about 8 weeks of boating left this season. I'm gonna play with it for a few months stock, and then do what all good Midwest boaters do in the winter... Order cool new toys and parts for spring season. That and my wife is getting an amp and tower speakers for Christmas! Don't tell her.... It's a surprise!

I got a Yamaha mooring cover for my 2012 around $600 online. I did not have the shipping cover, but an old mooring cover that came with the boat. That's now the garage winter cover.

The Yamaha original cover is very well made, fits great and is reasonable price wise. Just comparing to a friend who needed to get a pontoon cover custom made and paid like $1400.

For the cover, the OEM mooring covers are amazing. We bought a 2020 SX190, but the dealer accidentally gave us the mooring cover for the AR190/195. It's been two months and i still have it sitting in the box it came in. He is supposed to ship me a new one when they are back in stock. If he never comes through, I'll either use this great cover or try to sell it.

My 2019 came with the shipping cover. I used it for almost 2 years and they it finally disintegrated. I did not like that i had to spend $700 for the mooring cover but i also didnt realize ho easy it makes my life. You can literally roll it up and put it in the bed of the truck. The shipping cover took at least 15 min longer to put on. Now it takes like 10 min. 10 min vs 20-30 min is alot when your family is in the truck with the AC running and you are putting on the cover yourself.

Just put an order today for a grey/blue AR190. Had been debating for years and went to go see them today at my dealer and they had someone back out on one of their slots which I picked up. Had the dealer throw in the bow filler cushions and will look to get a cover , spare tire kit, and possibly some audio upgrades!
