Show us what you have found floating or under the surface on the bottom of where you boat. Hopefully you picked it up if it is not dangerous. Some stuff can be valuable. Lets see it, even if it is trash.

Here are a few pictures of "trash" I have removed from the bottom of Lake Champlain since the 80s1030161034.jpgCups and saucers from the Champlain Transportation Company. Pipes, Ink wells and Quill holder.1030161620.jpg And lastly iron Grape Shot from a carronade cannon used between the Revolutionary War and The War of 1812. Found with a Garrett xs-5001030160950.jpgNo gold yet.

That's cool! All I have found is stumps, old rusted out tire rims, and part of a steel drum. :(

I have found a lot of similar stuff, mostly beer bottles in clusters on bottom dropped by ice fishers thru the auger hole. Found unopened bottle of wine and an ice chisel once. A ships wooden rudder and and some dead stuff. Once in a while you find a sweet spot of good stuff. I have spent a lot of hours underwater in my past mostly in this Lake, but also along Floridas' gold coast, beach diving, as treasure seekers dredged just off shore. No gold for me there, just silver.
