I've seen a few threads in the forum about oxidation on gelcoat and how to get rid of it. My son broke out his auto buffer today and made my boat look like new! Porter Cable 7424xp with a hex logic orange pad (medium to heavy cutting) and we gave it a shot on the boat. Worked great! Last 3 pics pic are "before".20200527_140252.jpg20200527_135445.jpg20200527_140238.jpg612292888.jpg20200527_134743.jpg20200527_134737.jpg

Did you use a compound? I have a similar patch that I've not been able to correct.

Looks good!
Good motivation get mine started! Bought stuff last weekend so i hope it looks that good!

Looks great!! Make sure that you use some sort of sealant to help keep the finish that you worked so hard for.

@Billtex2000 , your boat looks great. How many hours did it take to clean and polish Your boat?
im asking for comparative purposes because I recently did the same for the first time. I saved a lot of cash but it cost me a lot of time (in addition to about $200 for a polisher and cleaning supplies).
