I’m purchasing a used 2021 Yamaha 25ft boat, do I have to pay sales tax on the entire boat or just on the hull. I know in Florida you don’t have to pay sales tax on the outboard engines of a boat.

update; Inboard engines you must pay sales tax on the entire boat. Not just the hull, unlike outboard engines.

Yamaha didn't make a 24ft boat in 2021. That is when they introduced the 25' model line up.

I’m so confused by everything in the first post.

To the OP, where are you planning to register the boat? Depending where you register the boat, you may need to pay a sales (use tax) and/or property tax.

Here in Delaware, the only taxes we pay is a sales tax on the trailer, nothing on the boat itself.

Who are you buying it from ? In Kentucky we don't pay sales tax on private party transactions (person to person). If you are purchasing from a dealer most likely the full state sales tax applies but not sure which state you reside ?
