I Know some people think salt water is the devil and all, but when you can go out and see water like around here and the sites, it's all worth it....and it really isn't that hard dealing with salt water, I really can't imagine doing anything much different if I boated in fresh, except for washing the trailer so much.

I took my neighbor and his daughters out yesterday, we saw about 100 dolphins. While I was pulling him and one of the girls on the tube there were 3 swimming in the wake right beside them!
These photos aren't zoomed. They come right beside the boat.image.jpgimage.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Awesome! I am trying to organize an extended family trip to Panama City next summer.

My daughter just got stationed at Eglin AFB so I plan on spending alot of time boating in the Destin area.

Awesome pics...I always remind my wife, people save all year long to be able to come here for a week and we get to live here.

I'm coming through the pass right now....Except I'm in a 165 foot research vessel for the navy base...Ugh...MUCH rather be on my boat!

I looked for you yesterday, saw a few Yamaha's out there. I've told myself that same thing several times about living here and other places I've been stationed...people pay lots of money to visit areas I've been paid to live.

Just got back from Punta Gorda and I love it down there. I'll be cleaning the boat tomorrow after sitting in the water all week well, except for me pulling it out to flush the engines twice. It doesn't look horrible but the anodes took a salty hit. I see salt spots around the jet drives but thats really about it. I was playing with dolphins by driving slowly past and getting them to chase and swim next to the boat. Looks like they were having as much fun as we were! Envious of you Florida guys!

Cool. Truthfully, I was never a big fan of FL, and was very apprehensive about moving here when I got the assignment to Tyndall, but after getting here and especially after getting the boat I really like it. I like this area because it's not so crowded, but Destin and other places have this area beat in the on-shore scenery. The "Forgotten coast" around here kicks ass though!

It sucked, I had to work all weekend. Worst part was working on a navy boat offshore with perfect weather. All I could think about was missing MY boat time. I just remind myself it pays for the toys like the boat. We'll be out next weekend for sure if the weather is good. More family in town, my wife's sister this time and her teenage daughter and one friend. I can handle my wife's family much better than my own, my sisters kids are off the chain (as you witnessed) . We've conditioned all our family to wait for the crazy crowds to leave before coming here. Hope to see you out there.

Should've tied your boat to the back:-) or tell them you'll meet them out there:-D

I didn't think the kids were too bad, the one threw me off when he started coming at me with his fist doubled up and said "I'm going to knock your head off". I told him that wasn't too nice to say, then he said it again and I realized he said "hat" not "head". Haha! My bad.

We will hopefully be out as well, I may even be out Friday for a while in the afternoon.

LOL...That sounds like Joey, he's definitely a bully. She's going to regret not reigning him in while he's young.

50% chance of rain, afternoon thunderstorms according to the weather channel. We'll see....Of course Friday looks better just to tease us.

A windy day at the island beats any other kind of day you've got. Had the whole place to ourselves for a while, now a couple other brave souls have shown up
