Plug with no label on it

I’m new to boating so sorry ahead of time if this is a dumb question. But does anyone knows what this is? I got 4 connections here. A reverse, neutral and stop but an extra plug with no label on it that’s not plugged into anything. What’s that for?

It looks like its for your kill switch. Maybe since you only have one engine the other isn't used?

Yeah that makes sense...Yamaha wire harnesses are made for them so they likely have some wires that are unused in different models for different features but they all use the same harness. I've found a few unused connectors in my boat too.

There are loads of unconnected sockets in our wiring harnesses if you are running one of the base model single engine as well as empty sockets if your boats trim package didn't include certain things that another did. Just keep everything clean, lubed and tidy.
