I've looked through all the old post on this subject but haven't really found what I'm looking for. You all know the situation with the throttle slipping back. Has anyone come up with a solution for this on newer boats? I see there are tension screws but that hasn't really helped anyone. I just want to get them working correctly so I can put on a throttle sync and teach my wife to drive it.

I would have thought they would have fixed this known problem (from older boats) in the new boats with the new binnacles?

Its in the faq section. I did it to mine but crimped the opening to make it snug instead of the tape fix.
50 hours since and no issues

My throttles are different, so your results may vary, but...

...THROTTLESYNC essentially corrects this problem for me. I do not use it when I am actively driving (and, therefore, have my hand on the throttles eliminating port throttle drift). When I am driving at a sustained speed for an extended period, I click on the THROTTLESYNC and it holds both throttles at the set RPM.
