Power loss

Hey everyone looking for some help/ ideas last year I would get intermittent losses of power never could figure it out then the other day it wouldn't run above 6,000rpm. I checked the sc and it only spins one way. Are there fuel water separators?

Loss of power like it falls on it's face or just a slight loss of power?? How's your oil level? Change spark plugs lately? Any other things that were done to the boat prior to this issue that might have caused this?

I changed plugs in beginning of May, oil and filter done at same time, oil level was good

More like power surges would jump from 7,000 to 6,500 rpm then finally could only be 6,000 out of it

Have you checked your air filters to see if they're saturated in oil?

I did check the air filter small amount of oil residue in one side of the filter but definitely not saturated, I then ran it without the filter and did not improve

If your oil level is good while warmed up, plugs properly gapped and running with no air filter doesn't make any difference I would do a compression check when cold and then after it is warmed up to see if there are any irregularities.

Ok what should the compression be roughly?

SVHO calls for 91 octane, but I have used 93 more than once and never had an issue

Ok guys so I wasn't able to compression test yet but I pulled all four spark plugs that were new as of May and they were black with sut. It's seems to be fouling out after getting warm and only runs like crap off the top end
