@Julian appreciate the time you put in doing this!

Looks like your HP numbers are off.

please be more specific.....
I think he's referring to the HP chart showing total hp for some and single engine hp for others (of course single engine boats would only equate to single hp number)

We see 500hp boats, 360hp boats and 200hp twin engine boats. And the discontinued 212 series. Easy mistake to make.

Should be fixed now....keep the comments coming (Excel did an auto paste I didn't notice).

SVHO HP is 250
1.9HO is 200
TR-1 is -- validating this with Yamaha.....hold please.... (Edited--- 100HP for TR-1 in a boat)

According to Yamaha the 190s are still testing, but first glimpse is 6 more MPH with the new 1.9HO engines.

I wonder how the low end torque and pulling power is. Load up a 190 full of people and towing and they were really bogged down. This would be a big improvement.

OK....official HP from Yamaha for the TR-1 engine is 100hp. There is a TR-1 HO (in a ski) that has 115hp. I've updated the grid. But this means that an AR 220 only has 200HP total, while the 222 boats have 400hp.....huge difference!!!

My understanding is that the AR220 was already slower than the AR210. Man, that thing is going to be a turtle.

I have a deposit on a 2023 and 2024 255xd , looks like 7k increase for the 2024, thoughts on either one ? Both deals are sitting at Msrp plus fees

Just curious but on the 222 FSH Sport E it shows an "x" for swim seats. Does that mean the come with the seats or that they are just equipped to receive them?

Are the MSRP column headings correct (2021 / 2022 MSRP?) Only looking at the 222SD because thats what I have, but the MSRP in 2022 2023 was $77,499 not $68,999.

FWIW,
In my 2020 210 FSH the TR-1 engines have a label on them that states power is 83 Kw.
83,000/746(watts per hp)=111.26 hp.

Yes that is the same thing I came up with.

I would like to see the Kw on the new 1.9l engines.

Yamaha has a history of under estimating HP a bit.

Agreed.

I can see two sides to publishing horsepower numbers, but for sure if the hp numbers are not published people are going to want to find out.

That reminds of how cagey Yamaha is about publishing the stator / alternator size for our boats engines, it wasn’t until this year that I installed the shunt on my boat and based on the charge rate going into my house battery I could see my TR-1 engines have a 200 Watt / 14A alternators.

There‘s a question that could be asked @Julian , what size stator / alternator come with the different engines?

Not sure....but I'd ask to have them thrown in if I was buying right now

Interesting isn't it....why would they not use that conversion? Wonder if it has to do with regulations on HP somewhere/how???

Maybe to upsell the new model year :) Greenhulk had the conversion and the dyno testing on different engines somewhere I read a couple years ago. Can't seem to find it. It worked out the the TR-1's had 115hp. I need to learn how to save links better....
