Pretty simple probably, but I'm not finding an easy way to program waypoints into my Lowrance Elite-5M HD. I see lots of different software you can buy, but it seems like this should be an easy task not requiring additional $oftware. I'm trying to enter the different things to see in Bimini. Thanks in advance,

@ArmyChief and I were discussing this earlier today.

Does your Elite-5M use Navoinics maps? I believe that if you are using Navionics on a phone or tablet and enter waypoints there they will show up on your plotter after you update the maps.

It does, came with Navionics Gold maps. I also had it on my phone once upon a time, but it appears I uninstalled and now would have to purchase again - or does the free version work for that?

I'm not sure how you link the two ?
I have Navionics on my iPad, and now my Dragonfly 5 Pro came with one year of updates.

So, how do I link the two?

I have been using Navionics on my iPhone. It is logged in with the same account as I used for Navoinics updates. When I updated the map chip for my Dragonfly the waypoints on my phone showed up on the Dragonfly.

but the dragonfly came with a new, separate 1 year update. So, did it link based off email ?

My Dragonfly did not come with the $99 Updates. I had to buy it. Mine came with crappy gold maps that did not include any lake anywhere near my home. So receiving Updates with the Dragonfly is awesome. When I started using Updates I had to create an account that was based on my email address and a password. I use the same account to log into Navionics on my iPhone. So the waypoints are shared.
