propane tanks

I just installed a kettle2 grill on my boat and was wondering if there is any difference between a typical Coleman type 1lb tank and the taller skinner tanks used for torches and such? the case I have to store the propane tanks lends it's self to the taller skinnier tank. But will they work?

As long as they screw onto the regulator of the grill they will work. My only concern is the potential added stress to the regulator since the bottle is longer and maybe heavier.

My concern about is that the taller tank will change the angle that the tank and regulator sit at bringing the regulator closer to the quick disconnect point. I think you will be fine. How does the cost compare?
