Protection Plans

While waiting for my 2021 to arrive, the finance people are asking if I want:
5 Year Engine Protection: 357 ($1850)
5 Year Platinum Protection: 351 ($1299)

Typically I shy away from protection plans. I'm just curious how many of you have purchased these and was it worth it?

Platinum is interior and hull shine

i like to break those things down by the month. so for 21$ a month i think ill do it. but use it!

@Jeff L24 .....didn't know there were choices. Are these Yamaka Factory plans or third party plans? Never a third party plan for me. The one I choes was the Yamaha Manufacturer's YES 5 Year Plan (I think YES stands for Yamaha extended service) and was told it included Engine, pump and its parts and electronics. The Hull will have a Lifetime with partial transfer to second owner capability. That's the only plan I would take - direct from Yamaha or direct through the dealer to Yamaha.
