Pump caulk...what kind to use....??

While checking out the boat for the spring launch, I was under the boat and noticed the leading end of one of my pumps is missing its caulk....a first for me.

So what kind of caulk to use? I have clear silicon caulk, but I don't think this is "strong" enough....
 
@Julian , all Yamaha uses is marine grade silicone. If you were sealing against water penetration, I would tell you to use poly based LifeCaulk. I like their tubes of caulk that you can close and reuse. Even though they are more money than a big caulk gun size, they are vastly more convenient!
