Has anyone looked into installing a push button start system on their FSH? I absolutely hate having two keys so close together on the dash with tethers and floats.

There was somebody on here that was making a whole kit that I believe would’ve said it was like a grand I think for 1000 bucks I’ll just turn the two keys. But I said that about trim tabs and I think I said that about something else so I’ll probably push button start next year.

For $229 I’ll take one! Get a bunch of parts from RadioShack, I miss those days.

Looks like Yamaha has a oem pad for sale around $500. But I'm unclear if this is all that is needed.? Also not sure if its for jets or OB or if it even matters. Will make some calls. Years ago one of my performance boats had a touch pad. Had to enter a code then you could hit the start button. Absolutely loved it.

If @Mainah still does it, one of the best mods hands down!!
My red button is readily accessible from the cockpit, and everyone on board knows to hit it to stop the boat should something happen to the captain.
