Putting the boat on the trailer for the first time....alone....

He's as calm as he can be!
One day I will try driving the boat onto the trailer, the ramp I use has a dock so I just park along the dock, back the trailer in front of it and pull it on with the dock line. It's a members only ramp so it isn't busy and I've never had anyone waiting for me...

Edit to add....I used to drive our boat onto the trailer all the time when I was younger, I know how to do it, just don't need to at my ramp...just wanted to throw that out there

My son has been itching to start operating the boat. He is 15. I told him to find a water safety class, enroll and complete successfully first. He has yet to do so and I have not pushed it. However, yesterday, he drove on the road for the first time. He did really well. I may push the water safety class and see if his success on the road will translate to the water.

Very nice! That kid in the above pictures can handle the boat, drive the truck (off-road only) and fly a C-172....and he is still 2 years away from his Driver's License! lol!

@OperationROL , I have the same rule on my boat. I don't care if you are 18 or 13 or whatever. Or whether I am there or not. You ain't drivin until you take the course. Still haven't had any of my 2 qualifying boys take it. But that means they don't get to drive yet.

I made my wife and boys watch the yamaha video, read all the yamaha manuals and then take the boaters course. Seemed like a good idea. None of them have spent much time driving the boat. Cam.
