Question about yds

I have been thinking about buying one of the yds set ups . and was wondering if it is worth it . plus does it still read the original engine hours even if you have swaped the ecu

Depends on how much you are going to spend on it. I made a cable cheap and got a copy of the SW cheap too. Worth it to me.

Not sure where the data is stored, and not sure anyone has tried checking engine hours after swapping an ECU.....you might be the first?

Welcome Scott. The YDS will not read correct hours on the boat if the ECM has been replaced. Have both ECM's been replaced?

Yea one was replaced before I bought the boat and I repaired one last summer
