I am curious about anchors. I have owned my yammie for over a month now. I currently own three anchors, a fluke anchor, a navy anchor, and a digger anchor. I am on a small lake most of the time with a muddy bottom. We boat for like 30 minutes at most and then sit. This lake is very busy, so on a calm day in a protected cove its not bad. On a windy day it sucks. On a calm day the fluke would hold fine, but I hated dealing with the chain. So I bought a digger anchor which doesn't need a chain and it holds well and I always use my navy anchor off the back with both. I realize people like the box anchor and I tried to find one around here. I like to touch it before I buy it. The digger has worked awesome everywhere I tried it on Lake arcadia, even on open water at the beach. Has anyone else used a digger? what are the drawbacks? It fits in my anchor locker but I have to put the front ladder out to get it out.
