I know a bunch of you guys use Ram mounts.
I am seeing a couple options for the boat that may also be useful for the trucks I drive.
Suction cup or the tough claw setup?
The suction cup can be used in the work trucks and the boat but I am worried about the suction cup on the fancy tinted factory window not suctioning well.
However, the tough claw setup would (I believe) clamp the top of the windshield.
What are you guys using the boat and vehicle?
This needs to be bimini proof.
Current phone S5 Active. Wife's is s7
May buy a setup for the tablet as well but I believe it all uses interchangable mounts.

Also checking out the Aquabox they have but looks too small for my phones.

@Andy S has use the suction cup mount on multiple Bimini runs, Exuma and Abaco now with no issues I would not be afraid to use that one.

Awesome. I see it has a tether on some stuff. If mine doesn't I may be finding some string anyways!

@Speedling I use a RAM mount arm connected to a Seasucker suction cup for my GPS which is different than the RAM mounts you are looking at. Here is a thread with my mount on the Yamaha I had, https://jetboaters.net/threads/mounted-my-ray-marine-dragonfly-with-ram-mounts-today.1644/page-3 and I still use the same setup on my Cobalt with the only difference being now the suction cup attaches to a non-tinted window. If the RAM suction cup works as well as the Seasucker suction cup, then that setup should work really well.

I use a suction mount, 7" arm, and an X-Grip. It works in the boat, and the truck. The motorcycle has a different basemount, but the 7" arm and X-Grip get moved over. Had the bike north of 140mph (Non-faired Ducati on a private road in Mexico) and the phone has held just fine. I've had zero issues with the X-Grip holding the phone in any situation I've put it in. I've only used the suction mount on "clear" glass and fiberglass, but it has held extremely well if you have a clean surface. 3D printed some holders for the GoPro's at the office awhile back, and suction cupped them to the outside back window of a truck that ran an 11.99@118mph with a 1.4 60ft (super hard hitting launch) at the track last spring. Also suction cupped the GoPro to the inside of the sunroof (which is factory tinted now that I think about it) for another drag strip run (only managed a 2.0 60ft on that run so it wasn't a huge shock) and it held fine for the run.

Here is a VERY similar setup to what I run (I don't have the rubber "holder band thing" on the back of mine:

My setup has the "phablet" sized X-Grip. It barely holds my wifes S7, so her car has a permanently mounted "standard" X-Grip (just glued to the dash because I give zero craps about that car).

My suction cup mount workEd perfectly yesterday to hold my phone to a tinted window.
