correct me if wrong ... keep thumb jamming in all around front bearing till it " hopefully makes to other side bearing as well , then fill cone 1/3 - 1/2 way replace O ring and put back ...
 
yes but be sure your using the right grease. its important your using epnoc grease. as it heats up it will thin out enough to run back into the bearing and keep it lubed. regular grease will fly out of the bearing and just leave it dry.
 
yep .. i called a dealership ..wont name which one and they told me they just use regular water proof grease ... i knew that was not correct info ....
 
i will make my own using regular #2 grease and mix it with 90wt gear lube to thin down the grease. you want it at room temp to be just thick enough to stay in place on a vertical surface. it almost wants to run and sag but not quite. this way when its warm it will run down the cone and lube the bearing

always wondered how exactly does the grease in cone get back into bearings ? by heat or pressure ?
 
Someone on another post. (5-8 years ago) recommended using a plastic bag over the bearing section and then compressed air to blow out the old grease, prior to packing new grease and filling cone with new grease.
Lots of posts about which specific grease and slurry mix on the web.
