Reborn wakeboard rack bungee

I have the reborn rack for knee board and wake board. i can not get the bungee to stay put. it seems to be to long for enough tension to keep the knee board in place nice and snug. yes the bungees are up top and everything appears to be installed correctly. any thoughts? do i just wrap it around something? doesnt seem to secure and would come undone. thanks

Tie a knot in it at a point that gives you good tension, I put a couple knots in mine to allow different sized boards we use.
