Returned from vacation to these goodies :)

I'm going to be at Mitchell next weekend staying in a cabin near Ware Island. If you're around, come see us.

Little tip is to take a file lightly to ends of the Lock. I had a few small burrs that would cause a hang up. I believe Jeff @Cobra Jet Steering LLC mentions this as well. I also had a small burr causing binding after drilling hole and had to clean up a little. But I love mine and may even use box anchor tomorrow to test as well.

I will check for burrs so thanks @2nazt for the heads up.

What is a good way to remove material from the Stoltz roller? I tried a small hand saw but wasn't getting anywhere. I have a bench grinder and deemed but I'm not sure how clean of a cut either of those could make. What are you guys using?

@DBamaC i am going Sunday to take my father out for his first ride in the boat. I'm not sure what all is going on next weekend but I'd like to be out on the water. I'll let you know if I head out. There is a red and white Chaparral Vortex across Ware Island (right side if heading up the lake). I think it's a 243 or whatever the larger size is. Looks sharp!

Just bend out the roller arms on the trailer slighty with a monkey wrench, its easy.

I had no luck bending out the bracket for the roller and ended up using my chop saw to cut it down....

I talked to that guy last year while at G.R.A.C.E. right after he bought it. At the time he was having some overheating issues he was struggling with. I'm glad to hear he's still got it. It is drop dead gorgeous.

The place we are staying at is at the entrance to a little slough just sw of the first island in the Ware Island area (due south of Big Rock Island...if you know which one that is) you come to when going north up the lake. we'll be down Friday night through mid-afternoon Sunday.

I think I'm staying home this weekend. We haven't been home for the last 4 weekends and I'm kind of worn out. I do have two butts in the smoker though.

Yup I know of Rock Island. When I was a kid it was struck by lightning and caught fire. They just let it burn since it's an island and there was no pump boat. You could see it glowing all around the lake lol. I'll be in touch if we get out next weekend ;)

Bought a few more goodies today for the boat trips.

Waterproof JBL Charge 3 Bluetooth speaker that can be linked to other JBL speakers. I wanted to get the cool looking Pulse edition with the built-in LED light grid but it's only splash proof and not waterproof like the Charge 3 is. The name Charge means that it can also charge you phone while it's plugged in (for those times off the boat). 20 hour playtime so this will help not run down my single battery while anchored since I don't have a dual battery or tower speaker/amp setup. I may 3D model some clamp-type mounts that slip on the ends and use my 3D printer to make them so I can tuck it up in my tower. The sound is pretty good for this thing with lots of bass and midrange. The highs could be a bit brighter but overall the SQ is pretty good and full.

I also bought a GoPro Hero 4 Silver and a GoPole. I really could have used the GoPro during our vacation as the snorkel I bought has a built-in GoPro mount. Should be able to start getting some lake footage now! My old original Hero became too unreliable for use and the image quality has come a long ways on GoPro's since that time. The GoPole is also watertight and floats!

Measured the stock roller with my calipers and then dropped it off by our tooling department to cut he Stoltz roller down. Going to be a nice fit! I'm going to round the edges down.

Also installed the EZ lock so no more worries of a blowout :winkingthumbsup"
