Guest, we are pleased to announce that Hydrophase Ridesteady is offering an extra $100 off for JETBOATERS.NET members on any Ridesteady for Yamaha Speed Control system purchased through March 7th, 2025. Ridesteady is a speed control system (“cruise control”) that uses GPS satellites or engine RPM to keep your boat at the set speed you choose. On twin engine boats, it will also automatically synchronize your engines.
That's exactly what I had in mind, find the right kit and a little retrofit to make it work because they are designed for pwc's. I called Riva and the rep I spoke to said he wouldn't even do it because of the need to cut the hole and cost etc. I was a little surprised he didn't ask for an engine type or anything. I know it can be done and fairly easily.
They won't recommend a kit for a boat that has not been tested. It's purely a CYA move that I can't blame them for.
You'll need to figure out what ski has your motor and go from there.
Having done stage 2 and 3 kits on Sea-Doos I can tell you the exhaust sounds sick! But keep in mind your boat is much bigger and you might not hear it all that well especially at speed. As for performance gains of the free flow, you won't notice anything in a heavy boat.
