Has anyone installed a Rod and or Flag holder in this location on their boat? Any idea what might fit there or any reason not to do this?Rod Flag Holder.png

Not there but I’ve installed two in the gunwales that work great. 16D91BE2-9F55-4996-BEC7-96F56A4E1C72.jpeg235A0781-2949-4F23-BCB0-6E756F5DE19D.jpeg319C984F-18E6-4384-94BB-93CE0A2305AC.jpeg

I used the Airhead tower flag holder and half of a nickel played shower curtain rod (no tub). It's about 18" long. I used foam tape to make it the same diameter as the holder. This is the only pic I have now, I'm about to put it on our new 242 SE. Works great though for the small flags. FB_IMG_1524288015306.jpg

Anyone close to their boat who can measure the diameter of the location in my first photo? I am trying to see if I can fit a rod/flag holder there.

It will be close to the size of a stern light base mount....almost certain you can't fit a typical rod holder in there. (mine are in the same place as @AndyD 's but with the cap going the other way)
