Has anyone ever contemplated cutting a hole in the floor under the seats to hide the batteries in an 07-09 AR230? Does anyone know how much room there is between the floor deck and the bottom of the boat, would a battery even fit? I have two group 31 batteries now and am contemplating putting them under the floor deck if they would fit, but just looking to see if anyone has any experience before I cut a useless hole if there isnt enough room...

Pretty sure there isn't enough room under there. In the new 210 line up Yamaha has sunk the batteries into the floor about half way and covered them with a plastic cover....that would be about as good as you'd get.

The alternative would be to do what many do....and put them on a slide way in the back of the under seat port storage.

I have 2 group 31's and one group 24 for staring under my port Cabin seat. I have often wondered that same thing about under the floor but for ballast.
