Running light switch starts and stops engine

Hi All, I have a 2009 Seadoo Challenger 185. When the boat is running, the running lights switch turns off the engine. It also starts the engine when it is not running. The normal starter switch starts and stops the engine, just can't use the running light switch. Any ideas?

sounds like to me the running light switch is wired in parallel with start stop switch. I would trace the wires out . Do you running lights work?
