Salt Water Flushing on Vacation?

I'm looking at going to Cape Coral for a week and leave my boat in the water all week. Anyone see any issues with not flushing the engine for a week while it's in the water? I figure I could flush it when i pull it out with some Salt Away. Most of the rentals I'm looking at won't let you use the boat lifts so flushing everyday is not an option and I really don't feel like clamping off hoses to flush it in the water.

Having the same issue here i Sarasota. Arrived Saturday, boat in the water all week. Came back to dock yesterday and hose the boat off inside and out. Make sure you adjust your lines for the tides. We didn't quite have them long enough on the first night.

I don't see a problem with this if only for a week at a time, especially if your using the boat nearly every day. I have done this twice with no issues. Just rinse the engines, entire boat and trailer with some sort of salt neutralizer when you get home and you should be fine.

Before you go, flush with dawn dish soap. This should coat the inside to keep salt from sticking.
