Hello fellow jet boaters! I am new to this forum as I recently bought a 2010 Yamaha SX240 (only 78hrs) and really want to add a tower. Based on my research and forum feedback the Samson towers seem to be "top of the line". I am leaning towards the reverse arch tower. I do not want any wobble or rattle and I am willing to spend the extra $1 for quality craftsmanship and durability. Anyone have this tower??? Would love feedback on it?

Welcome to the forum....can't help you with the Samson tower, but I'm sure someone can.

I have one. Very happy with it. Be sure to buy the tow point navigation light and have it pre wired. I would also recommend pre wiring the tower with a wiring harness if they can do it. It's a royal pain in the ass to get wires through that tower. You will also need to modify the front poles of the bimini to go under the tower. Basically they will make them telescope down to clear the tower then extend back up once the Bimini is forward if the arch

Samson is in our backyard and the owner is at our shop once a month at least. I would consider no other tower if I were in your shoes.

Buy with confidence and find a great installer in your AO.

Monster Towers
- largest tower manufacturer by far. over 30 boat manufacturers use monster towers to make the stock towers on their boats
- money-back guarantee
- I've done the same research, I want a tower on my 2011 sx240, this is the one I would get. I've read all the reviews on all the sites and talked with first-hand users of the MTK. Everyone I've talked to loves it.
- $1400

MTK is their "reverse arch": http://www.monstertower.com/Monster-Tower-MTK-p/sot-405.htm

let us know what you end up doing, and def post pics after install!

Did you have a fiberglass shop install it? Any reinforcement required? How much to install? A local fiberglass shop quoted me $1500 and said they "beef" up the areas where it attaches.

20140724_161516.jpg I have the Samson Razor on my 2007 Yamaha Sx210. I purchased it last August and installed it myself with the help of my then 16 year old son. The quality is AMAZING, very solid and the metal they use doesn't get hot at all! The tower came with everything needed to install (backing support plates/epoxy/bolts/etc.) The customer service Samson provides is second to none.

That tower looks great. It matches the window profile almost exactly!

Phil Dill had it installed which is the dealership. I'm not sure if they took it somewhere or if they did it themselves. I think they took it somewhere. Yes they did beef up the hull behind the attachment points. I would take it somewhere to have it done. Keep in mind you will need to modify the bimini and the cover to fit around the tower.

What are these?

Now THAT is a nice looking tower! Looks like it has an integral bimini as well. Was that a Samson option? If you don't mind my asking, approximately how much was the tower? I'm guessing quite expensive but honestly I think it looks better than just about every other tower I've seen on one of these boats.

The cost of the tower i believe is 3,500.00 not including the Bimini top. If i remember correctly 4,200.00 with the top. @buckbuck:Those two brackets are from the old tower the previous owner had. I've yet to remove them but plan to this coming winter.
