Saved $400 on insurance by switching to Progressive

We have had a policy with Geico through Boat US for four years and after talking to other people about what they were paying decided to get a quote from Progressive.
With the same coverage except I increased the stated value of the boat by $7,000 we are saving a little over $400 a year. Pays to check around!,

I have been using them for years , excellent people to deal with so I also went with them for car insurance it ended up being the WORST DECISION I EVER MADE FOR CAR INSURANCE one hand has no idea what the other hand is doing I can not believe they have the same name but I believe the boat insurance is carried via AARP so perhaps that is why it is so different.

We use USAA for our home and auto, USAA doesn’t directly write boat/motorcycle policies. Instead they direct their clients to Progressive directly with a link on their webpage. From what I could tell we are getting a discount because they consider it bundled even though it’s a different company.

Had everything with Geico and when time came to insure the boat switched everything to Progressive.
And saved a bunch of money, 2 cars, house, boat.
Geico quote though Boat USA was stupid. Initially was reasonable on the website and later real quote through email was 30% more.

Moved from Allstate to Farmers and saved a little. Out entire policy is around $400, so now way we could save hundreds unless it's free insurance.
