It looks like you end up stepping on the center movable cushion to pass through. That cushion rests on another cushion. It looks like it would be soft and perhaps a bit risky for an older person.
It's nice that you can create a sun deck. I know there are some (not us though)who look for that feature and wouldn't buy a Yamaha because it lacked a sun deck.
