On my scarab 195 supercharger hose keeps slipping off. I tried cleaning the hose inside where the connection is and the supercharger connection, I used T-Bolt clap, made it VERY tight. Nothing helps. It keeps slipping off every 5-10min. Any suggestions?

You can try putting hairspray on the connection, let it dry for a minute then install the hose

It looks like that hose has been cut at one end. Did you buy that boat used?

Yes. I didn’t have any problems until this weekend. Should I get the new hose? Do you know the part number.
Thank you

Is hair spray better then some kind of high temp glue?

Honestly you dont want to use glue. What is probably happening then is you are getting oil blow back. Is the pipe slick on the inside, and does it smell like oil?

It doesn’t smell like oil but there was definitely some grease film inside the hose. I cleaned it with brake cleaner.

Clean the inside of the hose, and outside of the supercharger. You should be ok, but if you want to use hairspray, then do it. Never hurts. Don't over-tighten the hose or you may cut into it.

Im surprised no one has come up with an oil catch can for these boats. I may have to mock something up. The intercoolers get full of oil blow by.

Awesome! If you do please let me know.
I’m planning to order new hose to see if that helps. I tried cleaning and tightening… nothing, still just slips off.

Thank you Mike for your help!
After I change the hose and clean everything and use the t-bolt clamp if it happens again.. is there anything else I should consider.
Thank you

Before you replace the hose, try some denatured alcohol on the inside of the pipe and the supercharger outlet, heck even try some light sanding to get some friction under the clamp. Those hoses arent cheap.
