Scarab 215 - one engine cuts off when i turn the other on... why?

Hey everyone. I just started my boat up a few days ago. I noticed when I turn one engine on and go to turn the other engine on, the first one I turned on shuts off and vice versa. It will repeat a few times. Why would this be happening. Battery was bought 2 years ago. Could it be that or something else?

Never heard of this issue before. Funny things happen on these boats when batteries start to go. What year is your boat? The newer ones with the electronic reverse gate (iNR) system tend to throw reverse module errors at low voltage. Not sure on the pre-iNR boats. My 215 is pre-iNR, but I keep the battery charged with a battery tender, so I’ve never had low voltage.
