Scarab windshield question

hello all and thanks for all of the great info. Picking up my 195 impulse Friday and have a question. I see in another thread that the windshield could be an issue and was a recall item? How do I tell if the 2014 I am about to pick up has the updated version? I see scarabmike indicated its darker tint but have nothing to reference. Thanks again for a great forum.

I don't know much about Scarabs, but those that do will be along shortly.

The windshield recall was on the first run boats. What happened was an issue with it shattering due to changes of temperature.

These recalls would have been completed before delivery.

So what rear view mirror did you use and why on that windshield of ours? Please pipe in with make and model numbers if you don't mind. Thanks guys. I'm considering the CIPA comp II. Seems like a good value and no too big.
