Sea Doo Challenger Tower

I have a 2005 Sea Doo Challenger 180 SCIC 215 hp. I have owned the boat just over a year, it is my first boat. I am thinking of putting a tower on it, Monster MTK. I am new to boating. A couple of questions... 1) what I see on the internet is jet boats make crummy wake board boats; 2) putting a tower on a Sea Doo can be a real challenge(i would have local guy do it) how does it look and perform when it is done? 3) Do you have recommendations for certain towers that would work better on the challenger?

Any help and pics would be great.

Disclaimer: I don't have a SeaDoo and I don't wake board...

I wouldn't say that they make crummy wake board boats, but there are certainly better options from my understanding. Fundamental problems are that you need a bunch of ballast (like all wake boats, but few jet boats come stock with enough) and that the jets can mess with the wave. There are several aftermarket things to address each of these issues.

I can tell you that a tower not only increases your pull angle (so you are pulling a surfer/skier more up than just forward), but it is darn handy for grabbing onto to steady yourself when boarding/disembarking or just in rough seas. Which sounds trivial until your passenger is older or disabled...

Judging from how I see others using their towers I’d say the primary benefit is they make a handy towel rack.
