Just ordered the Yamaha snap in Sea Mat for my 2016 242x. I know they're standard in the '17. Any tips on cleaning the surface? Recommendations for how often to remove and clean underneath? Trying to avoid a mold situation!

Can you cancel the order?

You would not have to worry about any of that with glued down SeaDek.

Already have the mats...thought about that but went with the snap in.

I do not know of anyone who has those mats.

I expect that you will need to remove, clean under and dry those mats as often as you would with carpet.

Do you know if they will snap down in the same places as your current carpet? I suspect you will need to move the existing snaps.

How expensive were the mats? I wonder if you could sell them at a loss and buy a $700 cockpit set from @JetBoatPilot?

You may already realize, but you will have to relocate most if not all of your 2016 floor snaps to match the new 2017 Sea Mat locations...

Yes, I found out after I got the mats that they needed to be installed by the dealer. They put snaps in the mats to match the snaps already on the boat.

That was a nice surprise...had to pay for 2 hours of labor :(
