So thanks to the 2017 JetBoatPilot group buy I purchased the kit to add Seadek to my 240. Y'all are the only people to appreciate how happy I am to be getting rid of the carpet. Hated having to pull it out, dry it, clean it, store it, and reinstall it before the next trip.
Anyway I unscrewed the snaps and filled the holes with 3M 4200. A laborious and back straining process.
Wish I had done a more professional job at filling the holes but it was good enough to get the job done.
With everything out the 3M in the holes needed at least 24 hours to dry so covered her up and back to storage she went.
Today with the help of my homie and fellow jet boater @BigJay17 we installed the Seadek. It was a lot easier with him leading the way since that was his first mod/addition to his 240.
We wiped everything down with acetone to remove oils, dirt, and anything else that might cause the Seadek to not stick to the surface.
Then installation began. Laying one piece at at a time down to make sure we lined it up correctly.
The end result is a beautiful sight and it feels so good under the foot.
Thanks to Will Owen at @JetBoatPilot for the group buy. Saved me some well needed coin.
